Table Lantern Workshop

Fused or Foiled

Take your stained glass skills in a new direction, with a table lantern made from a pattern of your choice.  Want to fuse?  Go ahead! Want to Foil? Be my guest.  It’s up to you.  With a wide variety of patterns to choose from, you can create the perfect accent for any room in your home.  

In week one, we’ll select glass and start cutting to create the three side panels.  The weeks between the first and the second class will give you time to finish your panels, have them fused and be ready for assembly.

In week two, we’ll assemble the lantern and install the light fixture.

Week One Week Two

EVERYONE SHOULD BRING:

  • Two copies of pattern already enlarged and printed on plain paper and Sticky-Back
  • Safety Glasses
  • Glass Cutter and Pliers

EVERYONE SHOULD BRING:

  • Safety Glasses
  • Wedgies or Wedgie Juniors
  • Soldering Iron and Stand
  • Flux, flux brush, and solder

FOR COPPER FOIL, BRING:

  • Small Homasote Board
  • Push Pins & Layout Blocks
  • Copper Foil
  • Fid and Exacto Knife
  • Soldering Iron and Stand
  • Flux, flux brush, and solder

IF FUSING, BRING:

  • Klyr-Fire Adhesive
  

 

The Fine Print: Classes and Workshops that are cancelled at least 8 days in advance will receive store credit.

No-shows and cancellations with less than 8 days notice will forfeit tuition.

Credits are not transferable to another person.
