Dale Keating - Learn to Create Complex Murrini

Tuition: $460 Includes All Materials, Tools and Supplies

$230 is a 50% Down Payment.  We will contact you before the class starts to collect the balance of $230.  Since the credit card companies charge nearly 4%, we appreciate cash or checks for the balance.

In this class, students will learn how to make a variety of complex cane designs that include both twisted ribbon cane and murrini patterns such as daisies and coral.  These will then be incorporated into a complete project.  Students will pull cane on both days, using a vitrigraph kiln and learning all the tricks and techniques to get successful, consistent results.  Pulling techniques and the fundamentals of building patterns are the main focus but color selection and how to incorporate complex cane in a project will also be covered.  Students will be working in teams of two as they load the pots and pull the cane.

Glass cutting experience is required.

For the complex murrini class, students must wear long pants, long sleeves in a natural fiber, a high neckline and closed-toe shoes.

 1. Your class will start on time.  Please be on time and prepared.  Please put your phone on silent so that it won’t disrupt the class.

2. Payment is required when you register for a class. When you register, we reserve that space and purchase supplies for you. Seven days advance notice is required to cancel. With 7 days notice, you will receive store credit for your tuition.  Otherwise, you will forfeit the tuition.  Classes with guest artists are never refundable unless we can fill your space.  To cover PayPal / credit card fees, a $25 processing fee will be deducted from any refund issued.

3. In the event of a class cancellation by Harmony, you will receive a full refund.  

4. Class participants must be at least 13 years of age unless specified otherwise in the class description. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a participating (registered and paid) guardian.  No one under the age of 18 is permitted in Adult Recess classes.

5. Participants give permission for Harmony Stained Glass to take and use photographs which may include their image or artwork.

6. Please bring Safety Glasses (Available for purchase at Harmony Stained Glass) and Wear Closed Toe Shoes.

7.  Everyone who is present for a class must be enrolled in that class.

8.  If the class is "plus supplies", only supplies purchased at Harmony are permitted.
