Introduction to Glass Fusing

Sunday, August 16 & 23, 2020 from 11am to 5pm each day

$125 plus glass. You can expect to spend $40 to $80, depending on your glass selections.  All firing is included.

** Glass Cutting Skills are Highly Desired But Not Required. **

Fusing is the fastest growing segment of using glass as an art medium.

Introduction to Glass Fusing is designed for the novice who wants to learn the basics of creating kiln-formed glass as well as for the intermediate fuser who wants to improve their understanding of how glass changes in the kiln.

Each week, we'll spend some time in discussion of theory and how to fire to achieve the desired results.  We'll then move forward into cutting and assembling the weekly project, using skills that were learned in that session.

The supply fee is variable, based on the glass you choose each week.

Fusing is both a technical pursuit for artists and an artistic pursuit for technicians.

Please bring your glass cutter and pliers (if you have them)

All you need to bring is your sense of fun.  Please wear closed-toe shoes.  We'll supply safety glasses and everything else you need.

We require that you purchase any class tools and supplies here at Harmony.  By doing so, you help ensure that your local stained glass store will be here as a place for fun and learning for many years to come.
